Databases and tables

How Airdash organizes data - databases, tables, columns and rows.

Databases

A database is one place for one topic: leads, reading, expenses. Each is a Cloudflare D1 database, which is SQLite. Keep topics apart: several small databases are easier to understand than one large one.

Tables, columns and rows

A database holds tables. A table has columns (the fields, such as name, status, date) and rows (the items). Columns have types, such as text, number, date or yes/no, so the data stays consistent.

How agents use them

Your agent can:

  • create a database,
  • create a table and define its columns,
  • add columns later when the data needs them,
  • add, update and delete rows,
  • query rows: filter, sort and count.

Ask in plain words. You do not need to write SQL.

Tips

  • Say which columns matter and how you will use the table. The agent designs better columns when it knows the use.
  • Use a status column (for example new, active, done) for anything that moves through stages.
  • Ask the agent to check for duplicates before adding rows to a long list.
