Using Airdash
Connect your agent
Connect Claude, Codex or another MCP client to Airdash.
Airdash has an MCP server. MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants work with the tools and data you use. Once connected, your agent can create databases and work with the data in them.
Connect a client
Add Airdash to your client as a remote MCP server:
{
"mcpServers": {
"airdash": {
"url": "https://getairdash.com/mcp"
}
}
}
The exact steps depend on the client. In Claude, add it as a custom connector. In Codex and other command line clients, add a remote MCP server with the URL above. The first time you connect, a login window opens: log in with your Airdash account and approve access.
Check the connection
Start a new conversation and ask the agent what Airdash tools it can use. If it lists tools for databases and tables, you are connected.
What to ask
Describe what you want to track in plain words:
Create a database called "Reading" with a table for books. Columns: title, author, topic, status, notes. Add these five books.
The agent picks the column types, creates the table and adds the rows. Open the database in Airdash to see the result.
Things to know
- Your agent only sees your own databases.
- Agents can change and delete data. Read what it is about to do, and look at the results.
- Anything you can do in the UI, an agent can do through MCP.
